WOYWW #83 - Stuff I can't show you

plus snapshot of my desk as is:

unfortunately, I am working on magazine work, so I can't let you see it.  Two projects down and 5 more to go.... getting there.

Those eagle-eyed amongst you can probably spot my new Bazzill Bling Jewel Template called Mystical Flourishes.  I love it .... and the reason is because it makes it so easy to place pearls, jewels, hot fix crystals etc in a nice swirl pattern.  I have loved the Prima bling swirls for so long, but couldn't justify the price.  This way I get to create the kind of swirl I want time after time after time ..... perfecto.  I got mine at Hobby Craft, but am going to get them in the shop. EDITED TO ADD:  I have ordered these for Stamp Galaxy and they should be her in the next few days.

This is my Butler Trolley to the left-hand side of me:

As you can see it's all chaos whilst I am working.

Other news:  City Link Couriers still haven't seen fit to delivery my computer ......... still, on the bright side in 2011 they updated it to "planned delivery 27th December" so only just 11 and a bit months to go then!

Now all you need to do is grab a coffee, and head over to our Fair Queen Julia's Crafting Castle to see what everyone one else has been up to.

Cheerio lovelies.

I bought a Kitchenaid Electric mixer for my daughter's birthday on Dec 28th... she's still waiting for City link to deliver it... the tracking info says the expected delivery date is December 31st! Like you it looks as though she'll have quite a wait!
I've been wondering about those flourish templates, but I think they are rather large for use with cards aren't they?
Happy New Year!

Bad news about your computer - like that you have a sense of humour about it though :-)

I know it won't be much in the way of consolation but I know a guy at work who has been waiting for City Link to deliver a computer since mid December. So lame.

Ooo, I like the look of those bling template things. I use a lot of hot fix crystals but never thought of doing swirls. Hmmm, may have to check those out.

Look forward to seeing your new projects once you're allowed to show them!

LOL - that's funny about the computer! Hope you get it soon. Hadn't thought about hot fix crystals in the way you have - it's a good point about being able to do what you want when you want, so will be seriously consiering one myself now!

What a great way to make swirls that you like. I am not much for bling, but I sure appreciate it on others' pieces. And the premade ones are insanely expensive.

That "trolley" looks pretty handy. Never thought of calling it a trolley. I learn so much from you UK gals. Happy WOYWW from # 16.

I like the idea of bling templates - doing it freehand can be a bit tough!! Lovely tidy desk.

And the saga continues!...So mean of them to make you wait until next year ;) Don't they know you are writing about this to thousands of woywwers? I think you should send them a link cuz I'd love to see what's on their workdesk - bet it's not your 'puter. Meanwhile, loving those templates too. Brilliant.

Yes, the companies do get us on all the bling. What can you do, to buy or not. Glad you found and like your template. Seems soooo many people have had terrible time with delivers this year. Not enough staff or inept employee, the list goes on. lol #95 Thanks for the peek.

Sounds like you live over here in Africa its taking so long to deliver something! LOL Actually I am being mean, my last order from Wild Orchid Crafts took 6 days to get here - some kind of a record I think.
I love the Bazzil bling templates, they make life so much easier.

Try sending things via the "normal" post. Two of my Christmas cards have just been sent back to me. Because I printed the postage online, which means it has to be posted within 24 hours, and I posted it just as the blizzard conditions hit, our postbox did not get emptied, so the postage was out of date. Not my fault, I did my bit, why can't they use a little sense and take the weather into account in these circumstances. The carriers seem to be doing better round here. Hope you soon get your computer.
