Inertia prevails on this WOYWW
Hi all,
As you can see there is not too much going on at this WOYWW today!
There is plenty going on in the general location, i.e. the floor and
both sides, with about a zillion new card and paper samples that I
picked up yesterday .... I just couldn't be bothered to haul it all on
to the desk....but, more about that later.
I am having a bit of bother with the Spring mini cover, which is pretty
much why it has stayed static .... in the end I ditched the "2012" and
decided to just keep the "Spring", but can't decide how I want it to
look, and where to place the flowers etc .... do you ever get to bogged
down with the detail that it stops you creating?
It was a busy old day yesterday, and probably the week will run like
that ... thank you all for your comments and good wishes last week. I'm
happy to report that I have been a little better at the moment.
If you have randomly arrived here hop off to Fair Queen Julia's to see
much more interesting crafting places.
Hugs
Kay

Sadly, I have gotten bogged down in the details before. Minutia often keeps me sidelined. But hey, I'm not complaining, I'm just glad to be able to visit you this week. (#3)
I hate when I get bogged down by details. I usually walk away, and then when I wake up in the morning, an idea has come to me! I hope you get your mojo back soon :)
Sometimes we just need a little time for all the ideas to percolate and turn into something fantastic.
I think that happens to a lot of us... the big picture gets lost with agonising over where the pin is going to be placed... just here... no... here... then I just glue it all willy nilly and move on!! LOL
Alot of people seem to be lacking in mojo at the mo, me included. Take your time and fiddle, usually works for me!
Happy WOYWW

Hi there; great creative space this week with interesting things to see! Thanks for sharing!

Hope you work it through soon. A good night's rest should do the trick!
Sometimes we get to looking to close at the detail and miss the broader picture. Hope you get it straightened around! Thanks for sharing and have a great week! Vickie #50
I totally get bogged down in the detail. I also tend to make minis when I am consumed by an idea about the construction, without a real plan for what to call it, how to use it, or anything past what papers I have that I am dying to use :)
I tend to create, and leave the thing on my desk not stuck don, sometimes for days or even WEEKS before I decide to justl let it go and stick it down. Then 5 mins later I think of a better idea...

After the hustle and bustle of end of year activities, I think it's not so much losing your mojo, as needing space to recover, and just do nothing...when you are ready to do something you'll feel the sparkle again....gotta try to pace yourself - easier said than done tho huh!

I definitely get bogged down in detail and also take forever to make a decision and then change my mind once I see it made up - and go back to my first choice. Very time consuming and frustrating.
Have a great week crafting

I think this time of the year after the crafters busy period of christmas we all lack Mr Mojo, have a wee rest from the detail department, and your mojo will return hope this helps, Happy Wednesday, Hugs May x x x

For me January is a difficult time to try and focus! Too tired I guess. Just give it time your ideas will come!
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better ... perhaps you're mojo will put in an appearance when you are feeling 100%. I'm sure you can get bogged down in the detail ... best to walk away, leave it till later, do something distracting ... there's no point in agonizing! Elizabeth x #96
Hi Kay (my name is Kay too (short for Catherine - weird I know)!
When I hit a brick wall I usually pick up my knitting and try to clear my mind. Sometimes just focusing on something different helps unblock the mojo.
Glad you are feeling a wee better!!
Hugs,
Kay

Sometimes we just can't see the wood for the trees. Hope things ease up! Happy WOYWW from #57 Kim
Yes indeed, put down the project and move away from the craft table! I can easily spend longer looking for the right flower/brad/button/twine combination than I did making the rest of the card, drives me nuts!!

I know that mood - creative limbo - hope you find your way! Thanks for the peek in to your crafty space...Sarah at 6
I think a break may be needed for a day or two. This always helps me get my mojo back.
january is always a long month. Soon be February and Mr mojo will be back home. thanks for the peep into your world. X Sharne ( fresh as a daisy)
Oh I can fiddle about with a flower for hours. Just walk away and come back to it later!! I'm sure whatever you decide will be wonderful. Cindy @ #52

Oh yes, sometimes the least little thing will throw the creative juices off kilter. I find that often my brain sorts out the details behind the scenes for me and then suddenly pops out the answer. My thought is don't fret about it. It will come together.
Hope you're hop around the blogs helped inspire you! Happy WOYWW
Hope mojo has turned up in full force now and your workspace is more busy - thanks for the peep at your workspace(Hazel, WOYWW 67) x
Im very late Kay - started at the high numbers this week! You've no doubt solved the Spring floral dilemma by now..but oh yes, I get to the stage of not being able to see the wood for the trees...often. And I have to actually physically force myself to walk away..it's such a waste of time!
Somehow that looks like a desk that is raring to go...I am sure your mojo will come back, perhaps it's gone away for the weekend with mine?
I dare'nt take a photo of the floor surrounding my desk as it is full!!! Bogged down by one little detail....all the time. In fact I've got one at the moment on the layout I'm working on
I'm sure your mojo won't be long in returning. I was like that in December, which isn't good when you still have Christmas orders to get out lol
Sometimes the old mojo just needs a break. Enjoy it!
Sometimes I just leave whatever it is sitting out and glance at it as I go about my day . . . or sleep on it . . . and then the way seems clear as to what to do. Sometimes the answer comes to me when I'm driving the car!
