WOYWW - Project 4 for Creative Stamping Magazine

I am not a happy person this morning, as late last night after waiting all day for us to exchange contracts I was told that our buyer's buyer had pulled out because "they couldn't take the stress any more" - know
how they feel dealing with our buyer has been a nightmare .... but even so I am very upset, stressed and very, very angry - better not say any more I could rave on for about 5 hours!!!

On to happier things, it's WOYWW and this is the not very interesting view of my desk. I finished working on all the projects and step-by-steps yesterday, and this is the prep for Project 4 .... you know the MO now .... I can't show it to you until after it's published, but I will do another sneak (see the several posts below for sneaks of the others).

To vent my frustration last night I finished off a long overdue plate for a new release - the only reasons I hadn't done it was because of the move ... and this is waiting to be signed off to be made into a new plate - there's another one hard on it heels too.

I might try and de-stress with a sauna and steam room today as currently I am wound up tighter than a watch spring.

Well I hope that my woes haven't depressed you too much .... pop over to Fair Queen Julia's gaffe and check out all the wonderful and inspiring goings on.

Hugs

Kay

Kay, you must be in a turmoil of emotions at losing out on the contract for the house. Glad you had fun crafting.

Gosh poor you... it's stressful enough buying and selling...never mind people who mess us around like this at the last moment.. Good Luck, Hugs May x x x No10

Oh Kay, I am sorry. I think it's the not being able todo anything about it that feeds the anger, it's so time and energy consuming, there really should be better rules/law about this sort of thing. So like you to make it a positive and work!

At least you have an outlet for your frustration. Look forward to seeing what you been doing.

I hate to hear of the turmoil you are going through. I don't care what it is you are contracting on when it gets to be so stressful I always wonder if I want to do it anymore. For it to involve arts and crafts is a sin in my books cause they are naturally stress relievers! Hope it gets better soon. Vickie#41

Hmm, the house buying/selling system in this country is pants, quite frankly and the sooner it's altered, the better. Hope the steaming/crafting has helped...

So sorry about the idiot buyer. Selling my house was, without a doubt, the most stressful time I've ever experienced. Glad you're having some crafty winding down time. Can't wait to see the finished article.

Happy Wednesday.

Moving is so very stressful anyway, sorry your movers pulled out. Couldn't you scream???? Hope you unwind.

Elizabeth said...

Let it out girl ... it's good to vent!?!? It is reckoned that moving is as stressful as getting divorce, and having done both I wouldn't argue with that ... I'd rather have all my teeth pulled than sell/buy another house ever! Hope the sauna has done the trick and here's hoping a cash buyer comes along very soon. Hope you have a better week with plenty crafting to relax with. Elizabeth x #113

So sorry to hear your house chain has broken down. It really is frustrating isn't it. Glad you can distract yourselves with some craft work.

Thanks for sharing your desk, looks very productive.

Sorry about your house sale. In Spain you have to put down a deposit when you agree to sell/buy and if one or other pulls out the money is at least a little compensation and of course must make a drop out think twice! Have a good snoop to cheer yourself up. Helen 125

Hi Kay, Jan here, I'm so sorry about your buyer, have been through the same thing myself, so know how it is. I'm also sorry that I missed the last Borough Green event, I have been very poorly lately and cannot get out, off to see the surgeons again, one on Friday! Anyway, I am fascinated about what you are up to!

Hope the housing has finally settled down and worked out. Dependig on lenders and a house or two behind is always stressful. Intriging peeks, but I don't think I can get magazine here in USA.

I thought that was odd! I clicked on the woyww link and it went to the post above! Hope you get your new home sorted, that must be a pain! Our friends got cheated out of their house my the estate Agent who was selling their house!! He saw what they were going to buy and offered more! They didn't know until about two days before they thought they were going to move in, they went round to measure for curtains and the old lady said she'd been told they had had to pull out of the deal and she'd been paid cash! Luckily they found another house quite quickly! Keep on Crafting!! HaPpY WoYwW!
