WOYWW - When is Spring's ETA?

'cos I'm blooming freezing .... and I don't like it - I am a simply a
warm Spring kind of girl ..... the weather is warm enough to leave off
my vest, but not too warm that I have to take off my cardigan!

I'm sorry, but not too much has been happening around here .... all
hedging has ground to a halt as we are having to urgently house hunt for
a new house (looks like we might be going under off any day) - it's not
an easy task and I find it unbelievable that viewing 2 houses yesterday
took most of the day - it doesn't help that we are planning on moving to
East Sussex and so have a longish drive to get there. More viewings on
Friday, an entire day of them in fact, but we think we've got one of the
short list from yesterday.

Any hoo, I expect you don't want to hear about my troubles ....... as
you can see the tags have moved on a wee bit, just got 4 more to go.
I need to hop off to Fair Queen Julia's to see the vastly more
interesting desks than mine, won't you join in?

WOYWW - Is Spring on the Way?

Well, I suppose that it's a long time coming on this desk anyway!

I've just started work on the tag that go inside the album .... just popped one out of it's pocket to try the Spring Border against it for size ..... actually, they will be going at the bottom of each tag - but I think that a different colour will work better, probably a nice dark green with the bottom bit of the border trimmed smaller (and obviously cut to fit the tag).

I really need to get this one done, so on my day off I will push on and finish this one.

More hedging today ..... we have boundaries on all sides of our land that need to be cut back by hand ... it's cream krackering work ... apart from all the cuts and thorn pricks you get along the way .... country living is not all it's cracked up to be people.

Perfect for adding to cheap watercolours to give you a Cosmic Shimmer or Twinkling H20 effect for anyone on a tight budget (let's face it that's most of us at the moment!). There are many Youtube videos using it, but this one is very good.

I also use it over other paints and even Copic colouring for a really blinging experience.

WOYWW - cover finished

but not much movement from the other day....I've only got very limited time to craft as it's spring here down on the farm and that means 100's of yards of hedging to do (which is very physically demanding and time consuming like you wouldn't believe!!).

Check the post below for a much better picture, as this was taken at 6.00 this morning - when it was very dark and very wet.

Cover's finished

YAY ..... the cover's finished at last .... you know me I work on the
more is more is more principle!!

I am totally in love with the Petaloo Velvet Pansies and they work
perfectly for a spring theme. Of course, the pearl spray goes with anything, and I couldn't resist adding just a touch in with the flowers.

All I need to do now is make the tags that go inside, which won't take
long and embellish a little bit, but really it's maximum photo real
estate that I was after for this one - of course brushing up on mini
skills never goes amiss.

Moving forward finally

Thanks to all the encouraging comments yesterday, I've managed to move
forward a bit.

The lace and ribbon and secured in place, the "Spring" title has also
been adhered down ... so no going back there!

All the other flowers and butterflies have been placed more or where I
want them.

Next I will go ahead and add the pearl details to the title and then
move on to fixing those blooms in place. I feel a bit of Sir Timmie's
Regal Crest leaves coming over me as well.

I've been oh so productive already this morning with the Hound of
Ightham Common walked and taking a nap. Now I need to get on with some
paperworkd - uck!!!!

It's all just laying there for me to consider

Nothing like a nice long walk in the Kentish Countryside to kick start a
bit of mojo .... at least that's what I kept telling myself as I took
the dog for 5 miles this morning. I am now beyond tired and aching.

The orchards should be called "Vinegar Alley" at the moment, lots
apples laying around for the birdies to nosh on, but the smell of cider
vinegar hangs in the air ... it's quite pleasant in a funny kind of way
... or maybe I'm a bit odd.

I've just broken out some product, and laid it on the front of the mini
so that I can shift it around a bit, but a least that's way better than
just the spring chipboard kicking around.

I like it more than I did, but still something is missing - the flowers
are a bit white so possibly some light watercolour on them and
irridescent medium, or maybe just the medium on its own.

Am I going down the right track?

Inertia prevails on this WOYWW

Hi all,

As you can see there is not too much going on at this WOYWW today!
There is plenty going on in the general location, i.e. the floor and
both sides, with about a zillion new card and paper samples that I
picked up yesterday .... I just couldn't be bothered to haul it all on
to the desk....but, more about that later.

I am having a bit of bother with the Spring mini cover, which is pretty
much why it has stayed static .... in the end I ditched the "2012" and
decided to just keep the "Spring", but can't decide how I want it to
look, and where to place the flowers etc .... do you ever get to bogged
down with the detail that it stops you creating?

It was a busy old day yesterday, and probably the week will run like
that ... thank you all for your comments and good wishes last week. I'm
happy to report that I have been a little better at the moment.

2012 - First WOYWW of the Year

Happy, Happy New Year all you lovely WOYWWers.

Hope you had an awesome Christmas and New Year Celebrations

Ours was ok, but then I mostly always feels that everyone else has a
much better time than I do on New Year's Eve......we just spent it
quietly at home trying to get over not being too well (my flare is
dragging on a bit, but hey ho just have to live with that one!!).

I have spent a bit of time getting my Spring Album underway, and as you
can see from the picture it's covered now and the spine is done. I've
just been getting all cover bits together .... die cutting out the
middle Pastry Label by Memory Box, and working on the plain Thickers
with paint, white Briliance Ink and the ruffled flower from Play Time Set 2 (Parklife), then just adding one layer of Chiaro Flo EP. I've
done the same for the "2012", but popped it on a bigger Memory Box label
ready to go.

I think I will stick to the Sizzlets flower and foliage to go on the
cover too, but will make up my mind later. I used them on the spine along with the larger Memory Box Pastry Label and Fauntleroy Crest.

Cover me ... I'm going in

Today has mostly been spent getting over the excesses of Christmas, by
some gentle (and if I'm truthful) work, adding products to Stamp Galaxy
that have sat around since November.

Then I watched a bit of Ustream, and made a start on the Spring Mini
cover - that is as far as I've got.

I am going to finish off the other inside bit of cover and then settle
down for a bit of a read, and watch Sherlock Holmes.

Random snapshot of today's doings

Currently, this is what I've been up to:

The words "Spring 2012" cut out of a Thickers sheets, which have been
gessoed and painted with a couple of coats of paint ready for the front
of my spring mini .... I've yet to actually cut out the chipboard covers
yet as I need Guy to help me hold it down through the Rotatrim.

Also, a shameful painting of an Art Girl (my first ever attempt) - it
should have gone in the bin, but I thought you could do with a good
laugh!!!!

The bags of pink, purple and clear gems are Table Scatter, which has
just come in, and I need to add it to the shop, along with a whole host
of other wedding items.

WOYWW - New Beginnings .... Spring Mini

As you will see from yesterday afternoon's post I have moved forward
withe my Stack the Deck (Laura Dennison of Following the Paper Trail) Spring mini. Super easy
binding ... but I should have covered the pages before adding them to
the spine. Also making the pages out of regular envelopes - rather than
cutting A6 envelopes out of card with the BSP would have made meant that

I would only have probably had to matt the pages (rather than matt on
one side and completely cover the other).

Thank you all so much for your Christmas messages and comments, I am
going to treat myself today and get over to Fair Queen Julia's and have
a look at all the wonderful desks.

We had a lovely Christmas, and look what Toodles got from Japan (takes me back to being a teenager myself in the 70's):

PS the lamp works so well as a web cam holder (so Neil doesn't have to worry that I will be round to get the one off his desk now!!, and the Rotarim is fabulous, if not huge .... I love it) .... and it's great to liberate my Cinch to more worthwhile work than web cam holding.

Just hopped over to Tunbridge Wells this morning, and picked up a cheap
angle poise lamp, which minus the blub makes a perfect stand for my
webcam. Still need to look at lighting a touch, but this is much better
considering that the Rotatrim takes up so much space .... and I get my
Cinch back in operation.

Still can't decide which way around I need the trimmer .... probably a
case of suck it and see.

Found the solution for the web cam

so reserved it at Argos and will be popping over there tomorrow to pick it up. Just the job, although I can't get a url link to paste in from their store.

Guy can take off the lamp bit and then we will have a flat surface to attach the web cam to that can swivel etc, and take up about a third of the space my Cinch does ..... plus I can use the Cinch without messing around .... sorted.

There is only one problem with this Xmas gift ....

I don't have enough room .......... LOL!

Seriously, I've so far re-jigged, taken down my pasta machine and moved
stuff around, and I'm still struggling to find the room for it.

Tomorrow's job will be trying to find something other than the Cinch
upon which to balance the webcam, thus freeing up a few more inches, and
then hopefully it will fit along the back edge. Other than that I will
have to find room for the paper storage on wheels, and move a load of
boxes to have it sitting along the edge.

On a happier note it cuts really straight lines, and also down to tiny
slivers off things ........ I LOVE IT!!!! Thanks Guy.

WOYWW - let it snow

When I use texture paste I get it every where, so I've got a case of
creeping snow on this card ... it started on the right hand side, and
has just drifted to the left as I've gone along with the card.

Not much else to see here WOYWWers, but scroll down a post or two to see

Hopefully today I will be able to head off to Fair Queen Julia's to have
a mooch round the other desks.

... and Arabesque .... on this WOYWW

Actually, it was a long time ago I did that kind of thing, now my
arabesque work is limited solely to the crafting work desk ... I will be
50 in a few days time after all!!

This Crafters Workshop template is simply stunning ..... who knew and
has been keep it a secret? Rob has just seen it hanging up and even
said that the template itself was pretty.

I've had it for quite a while and only just got around to using it - the
idea was that the roses would go all over the top, and therefore the
texture paste a la Arabesque was just there to ground them and show
through any small gaps .... but it has been suggested by Guy (and I tend
to agree) that it would be a shame to cover most of it up.

Super easy to do: I just masked off the lace (would have been easier to
do before I put that on hey) and then held the template in place while I
spread on the texture paste with a palette knife and then sprinkled on
first Iridescent fine glitter and them some pale green fine glitter.

Once it's completely dry I will try to place the roses - maybe going for
5 on top and perhaps add a line of the same template around the edges in
white brilliance.

Minus 9 days and counting down

til I get to open that very large, and very enticing box!! I'm getting
giddy as a goat on a mountain top waiting to get my hands on Jonnie.

This morning, I've mostly been doing admin (can I just say I hate my
Accountant, soz Jamie!!, he has just pointed out in the nicest possible
way that I SHOULD have done purchase orders and purchase invoices for
quite a lot of stuff, and so I'm having to go back over 8 months worth
and input them .... hot diggidy dog that sucks). I was being so good
about keeping on top of it all too.

The basket from yesterday has had one coat of Snowflake, and will
probably get another in a moment, but I don't think I'll paint the
inside as I like the contrast.

Thank Crunchie it's Friday ..... I am feeling poorly sick.

Minus 10 days and counting til I get my paws on Jonnie

oh, yes just 10 days to go til I get to take him out of his box
............ thanks for the comments yesterday .... unfortunately I was
disappointed that nobody was willing to kidnap Jon Richardson and wrap
him up for my birthday in sparkles .... so am having to content myself
with Jonie BSP, but then again he's probably far better at crafting than
the actual JR (more tolerant of the mess I make!!!).

As if I haven't got enough to do, I've been given the job of painting
this basket --- it's to store the oil bottles in the kitchen, but is
just such a blah colour ... so it will probably just be PA Snowflake
instead .... or perhaps a dark mulberry if I have the right colour to
match the curtains.

Still not the best today, but have been quite good and am working on
this month's admin.

WOYWW - A Rose and a Reindeer and 12 days til I get my hands on Jonnie

I started another box yesterday, but haven't got too far as currently
I've a massive flare up going on and have felt quite poorly (curse the
Lupus).

Still not sure where I'm going with this one, just a Joel coloured in
with Copic and one Marianne Rose made up..... probably going to frame
him with a doily and do lots of roses around and about - I'll work on it
later.

The Schools are on Strike here, and so Lou and I will be off to
Tunbridge Wells to do some shopping before I can get on with it - hope
not everyone has the same idea!!

Just 12 days to go til I get my hands on Jonnie (if you missed the post
from the other day, he's a Big Shot Pro) .... seriously, the wait is
killing me. On the other hand though just 12 days til I turn the big 50 bend!

Day 6 of Jonnie in da House - and I've been a lazy cow!

Apart from cooking dinner, and eating Trifle ... I have been a mega lazy
cow today, and I don't mind admitting it.

I have been having a bit of a flare up, and resting seems to be the only
thing to set me back on the right road.

Feeling a little better this evening, but haven't really done too much
crafting up until now.

Maybe tomorrow I might be a bit more the thing.

Day 5 of Jonnie in da House

and another day ticked off before I get my hands on him ..... Mr Jonnie
BSP ... or Big Shot Professional if you want to get all formal on him!!
I am so super excited I and jumping up and down and stroking the box
quite a bit ..... please Mr Elf can I have him before? I suspect I know
the answer to that.....

So in the meantime I've been doing another box, this time for Lou's
teacher to house some posh handmade soap.

The stars have some TOO-Clearly Acetate in them, and it really lives up to its name .... Lou and Guy both had to check that there was something there ..... I was wondering just now though that I didn't emboss with a CB folder for a nice effect ... still I have a couple more to do, so will try that for the next one.

I rough embossed, i.e. made sure that it wasn't completely covered with ink/didn't touch the paper in all the right places using Galactic Gold EP and the Twas the Night Background stamp (I love this stamp). Cut out the stars using a Spellbinders Nestie set (see above for the TOO-Clearly comment) and then popped Blue Billberry Zoomz in the corners and ran stickles around the stars. I kept the cut out stars, plus cut out a a couple in lilac cardstock, and added more stickles to them - they will form part of the closure later on.

Next I've been cutting out a nice border using a Marianne die in lilac ..... not sure where I will go from here though, but will have to disguise the join somehow, probably a button or some such.

Box for my Mother to house the card made the other day

It's not a truly perfect match for colour, but close enough to be okay.
Made with some old Sweetwater Kit paper (only had 2 sheets), which was
quite thin so I had to back with some cardstock.

Other supplies:
Texture Paste
Star Nestie to get the star shape - make sure you wash off well if you
use them with texture paste
Blue organza ribbon - frilled by taking out top wire and gathered onto
the box
Lumiere Paint in Sunset Gold (554) from Stamp Galaxy
White glitter eyelash fibre
Blue button from stash with red glitter eyelash threaded through
Kwik Thread - makes getting the pesky fibre through the button a matter
of seconds
Chipboard Curly Tree by Tando from Stamp Galaxy
Galactic Gold Embossing Powder by SG-me! from Stamp Galaxy
Stickles in Fruit Punch and Gold
Twas the Night background stamp by Toodles & Binks from Stamp Galaxy
White Embossing Powder
Gesso to coat the tree - but you could possibly get away without doing this
Pin Flair gel glue - can't do without the stuff
Fine Glitter mine is Stampin Up

Such a super easy box to make, it took me just an hour to do all told,
if you take all all the distractions of answering the phone, school

WOYWW - Jonnie in da house ... Day 3

This week, it's not so much what is on my workdesk, but what is just the other side of the wall from it.....

Julia, and anyone else who is curious, this is Jonnie, as you can see from the picture there is a countdown going on as the Rubbah Elf has taped it up and written over the tape - thus creating tamper proof boxing if you will (devious b*&^er). So to show my frustration I wrote on it, and then Toodles added some notes too.

You can't get the scale/weight of the box from the picture, but it is large .... AND HEAVY.

Snapshot .... front of card

Just started on the placement for the front of the card my Mother
demanded. I tried various different elements first - namely, a Tando
tree and some tiny Tando houses, but the didn't go .... so decided on
plain and simple .... obviously with shiney!!

It's all just sitting there for me to move around and about until I am
happy. Not sure about the flowers .... colour or no?

written on.

This is the bit that I hate .... drying time ..... I rarely use a heat
gun to do this, and actually as it's Stickles that are drying it's not
really recommended. I need a heat box of some kind !!!

A new project begins .................

this one isn't even for me..... every year my Mother makes me do one for
her Italian Group Teacher, it has to be larger than normal as quite a
few people have to sign it - so this time I have stuck 2 A6 cards
together in a kind of cross-over gatefold.

The base is dark red, and I've just started matting all the panels in an
aqua - as a lot of you will know, I heartily detest Xmas, and so tend to
avoid overtly Christmas colouring.

The panels on the front will be embossed with a Cuttlebug folder which
has snowflakes on it, and then a bit of dry-brushed (or finger in my
case) of PA Snowflake paint and Golden Stickles to bling it up a bit.

I've just popped the dinner in the oven - braised lamb with pomegranate
- so will check back in later peeps.

I admit it, I have a short attention span ... so am grateful that this
thing is in the bag ... the glossy accents around the edge just need to
dry and then I can wipe off the spare glitter.

Next maybe a bit more matting for the Everlasting Mini ...which

Nearly finished ... possibly one more swirl to add and I'm done.
Thank goodness for my Kwik Thread - getting the string through that bell
would have been near on impossible for me ... at least without a lot of
bad language!!! Took me a second to do.
I just need to get the gift card to so in it now, and that is one down
and a whole load to go. Don't think it'll be realistic to make anything
other than boxes and decorate them simply for the others.

It would have taken me ages to thread ribbon two ways through a bead closure the other day, and it I did in in seconds ... plus the handle part makes a really nice bone folder.

Well, I started on the box and was so busy talking to number 1 son that
I made it up without cutting a proper die-cut hole in the lid - duh!!

So I had to scramble around and use a Nestie from the inside - not the
easiest thing to do and also my blade wasn't that sharp at the
beginning, so a little ripped ....... or should I say distressed?

TOO-Clearly film will do on the side and then I can just cover around it
with some kind of trim, and the outside will have a frame and decoration
of some kind ....... so, it's not really the end of the world.

All round fairly happy with the progress.

Inside of the Gift Card Holder

Super quick post ... this is the inside of the holder - the idea is that
the card will slip underneath the ribbon closure, which will tighten up
to keep it in place.
Of course, it would have been a true nightmare to thread that teeny tiny
bead through the ribbon going in two different directions were it not

WOYWW .... I have a little pocket gift card holder

Morning WOYWers all,

As you can see the little pocket gift card holder I've been working on
has a finished front - still a little work on the inside to go ....
think I will add another pocket to hold the actual gift card ... and
will also have to tackle a wee box as well as it won't fit in an envie!!

Of course I think that will be a doddle with the Martha Scoreboard - to
answer the questions last week - the thing I love about it is that there
are score lines every 1/8 of an inch, unlike my Score-pal that had them
every inch (and a few random ones in between). I did consider a Hougie,
but that only had every inch or every centimetre if you flipped it over
- as every girl knows size means everything and the 1/8" make all the
difference!!

The more eagle-eyed of you will also notice a small purple thingy sitting just near the card - that's my new Kiwk Thread - and it's a wonderful little tool I am testing it at the moment, but will let you all know what I think in a day or so.

Busy, busy day at the Galaxy today (am expecting more of the TOO-Clearly film in to fulfill the orders that are waiting ..... not sure if we've
ever had anything sell out so fast).

stocking stuffer - or just as a treat for you to buy yourself - will let you know about

A hot mess

I've been working on the pocket I shared earlier on and off - a bit of

around Jane Austen - a definite 5+ star read.

Still up and crafting away

Except this time, I've been playing with our new TOO-CLEARLY Heatproof
Acetate sheets ... so easy to make a gift card holder. It heat embosses
beautifully (also it's possible to print on it with either an inkjet or
laser printer).

RRP is £3.95 for 20 sheets from Stamp Galaxy.

You can just see the tweezers holding together a stick pin with beads
whilst the glossy accents dries - as soon as that is done I will finish
off the project ..... one bit of packaging down towards the dreadful "C"
word!

It 5:45 am ...why on earth am I crafting?

I admit it ... I couldn't sleep ....... I think probably because when we
went to bed after Midnight I wasn't really tired, but just going with
the flow .... I made a good old attempt at the whole sleep thing ....
but it has pretty much eluded me!!

So nothing for it but to get up and craft I thought .... since 4.15 I've
done at least 3 more sides to the Everlasting Mini -- I suspect it's
thus called because it takes an everlasting amount of time to get all
the basic matting done heh!!

Still push on ... only 4 more signatures after this one I'm working on.

All crafting had to cease for a bit

as I got another call from the Craft Stamper team to add additional
stamps to the subs offer they've been running - super brilliant news it
has done wonderfully well.....but it did mean that all crafting had to
cease so we could press and pack rubbah. That's done I just need to
finish packing up this lot and get it sent off today.

Once I've done that, done the Post Office run and walked the Hound for 5
miles I can maybe get a bit done on the Everlasting album - oh and then
I have to fit in cooking a family meal ..... quiet day again around here.

A lot 'O tape

This morning, as Lydia would say I have a ....."lot 'o tape" .... she's a
junior Miranda!!!!

Three different sizes of score-tape showed up this morning, and I've
also got some free embellies from a magazine ... most of what came is no
good to me, but I fished out the useful stuff and things like the
stamps, die cuts and papers will go off to my godchildren to play with.

I've been busy working on some new background stamps this morning, and
changing the Counting House Large Marge letter plate around a bit, which
hopefully will be okay now and we can go ahead and get the plate made -
I have to admit that it's quite nice to have that facility now so I can
make prototypes first rather than just have a one off plate made.

Having walked the Hound of Ightham common I'm going to get down to a bit
more drawing .... I'm currently working on a nice pear!!!

It's that time of the week again .... WOYWW .. and this is what is on my
desk my by now much treasured Martha Stewart Scoreboard ... and yes, I'm
aware I've only owned it for a few days, but hey ho .... I'm in love!!

Currently, I am still getting on with the Katy Orta Everlasting mini,
but progress is a little slow as I have had had to break off and get a
large order done - so everything else has been put on the back burner
for a few days.

Hopefully I can shimmy around all the WOYWW desks later on - if you are

This picture looks reasonably tidy doesn't it ...

but actually, there is quite a bit of mess sitting just under my paper
trimmer.

We did get a trial plate done yesterday - actually it was just a plate,
but I decided that there were a couple of elements that needed to be
tweaked a bit, so I'll work on it later day and maybe prepare the
negative tomorrow, and then make the plate on Wednesday if all goes
well. That will mean that I can then probably make the matrix on
Thursday and press a few - I will just have to see how the week goes.

It's busy, busy with orders and stock ordering for the rest of the day I
think. Toodles is back at school, so I've the bus run to do later as
well as fill up the car and do the inevitable post office trip - as you
can see there's never a dull moment around here.

I also need to score some score-pal tape (or equivalent) and some more
photo glue, this mini has busted right through my supplies.

Good news on one front though, Guy got my ATG working for me .... seems
dumb ol' me hadn't threaded it round the runners properly - no wonder is
was ripping so much. I also have no ATG take left so need to get my
hands on another role or two of that. Plus order my Rotatrim M15 and
the Big Shot Pro - will my lists ever get any smaller I wonder?

Baby it's cold outside .... and the log burner is on .....

therefore I am reluctant to say the least to get off my fat bootie and head out into the workshop, but needs must there is rubbah pressing to be done .... and a new plate to make.

If all goes well, this one will be released later today:

The first in the Counting House Series, and is called "Large Marge Does the Numbers" (SGM027). The stencil letters are around 2" in size and whilst I designed them with scrapbooking and art journalling in mind, they will be perfect for all kinds of projects. They come on an A4 sheet of gray rubber and will be £19.00 unmounted or £22.98 mounted on CLING-TOO Foam ready for you to trim to your own specifications. The circle sentiment fits perfectly within the 3rd smallest Nestie die, and the other sentiments work well as background elements or in combination with various Nestie dies.

Progress so far is fairly slow ... despite the fact that I spent almost all of yesterday working on it, and have only just started matting the second signature - four more of the bloomin things to add in start matting!

That's it two page signatures to together and half way through matting
the first signature ........... BUT, it's slow going as now my ATG has
run out of tape, and I can't get the bloomin ' thing to load properly -
can't be bothered to watch the video of how it's done so it'll have to
wait until the technical Guy gets home - I am rubbish at such stuff!!
I think I will go back to using photo glue, it might be a bit quicker.
Still got 4 more signatures to add yet, and the remainder to
matt............... usually, I embellish as I go, but this time I am
mixing it up and will go back and add all the tags and embellies once
the compiling and matting is complete.

Martha Score Board + card and super instructions =

Super quick assembly of pages for mini album, I have never made the base so quickly, even allowing for screw up like:

cutting wrong fold
sticking down the wrong bit
scoring along wrong line

all pretty much a la norm for me, factoring in preparing, cooking, eating and cleaning away dinner, it took me in total of 2 hours to get it all prepared and stuck.

Can I just say though, I bought some spare red line tape from Hobby Craft on Sunday, bust it open this afternoon .... and it's all gone ......... mmm, now I know who long a reel of red line (Woodware's own
brand or score-pal make) lasts me, and it's a seriously long time ... this must have been a mean amount of tape on it .... I ran out before the last page!!!

How annoying is that - seriously, what's more annoying is that we've run out at Stamp Galaxy as I need to do a new wholesale order, and I could have picked up a roll of Score-pal tape at Oyster today ....... URGH!!!

Oh well, don't panic and carry out .... I used some other double-sided (but it's not the best stick). I'm not going out again tomorrow so will have to make do until ours arrives and double it up with some glue stick.
Tomorrow is going to be matting pages, ready for the Friday class of binding this puppy.

In the Counting House with Large Marge

What's on my desk this foggy but deceptively warm morning ...... after a 5 mile walk with the Hound of Ightham Common .... we have some artwork that I've been messing with based on our new Counting House Large Marge Number stamps (which should be out at the weekend.

They are perfect for journalling, and I've been doodling on them.

Poor Toodles-Lou is poorly sick today .... so not much will done as I need to stay with hailing distance to get drinks, apply wet flannels and dispense general TLC. So am treating myself to watching a bit of the
mad but oh so endearing Kathy (Paper Phenomenon) .... seriously if you want discussions about Schweaty Balls, Boners (which for the uninitiated is a bone folder a la HSN blooper and pole dancing whilst crafting head on over there.

WOYWW - few weeks off and back with a slider

Hey WOYWWers,

It's been a couple of weeks I know, but I've just not had the opportunity to do much in the way of crafting.

This week, though I am back with lots of crafting having been done .... managed to crack the whole slider pocket thang! (see posts below for vids of having it large with them!!).

This one's using the Magic of Oz paper and the ruffled flower from my Park Life set. Shit-ey loads of glitter and lumiere paints ..... a girl just can't have enough glitter darlings - and is off to find a home with Rob's girlfriend for her Birthday .... the gift card fits perfectly in the bottom bit of the slider.

Hopefully, this week I will also get to check out what all my lovely WOYWWers have been up to over at Fair Queen Julia's.

BTW, I am mega H-A-P-P-Y with myself, I managed to work out how to post a piccie straight from the web cam capture with only a quickie email dashed off. Just have to pop in and edit the text, add links and labels etc. Saving a whole load of time. Why did I never think about it before. I am super happy to have my web cam back in operation .... Guy found a nice usb extension thingy, and my Cinch is the perfect resting place for the cam. Only problemo is that I can't see the chat .... but this evening he has also fixed me up with the notebook passwords - so now I will be able to stream and read the chat. Big thumbs up to him!!!!!!! and a great big MWAHHHH as he's also moved the printer so there is room for the Big Shot Pro that will be moving in, and also worked on the crashing issues I've had by de-installing (is that even a word?) and then installing each update that has taken place in the last month ... what a lovely man he is.

Just treated myself to a couple of Big Shot Pro Dies

I freely admit that I haven't got one .... but that is a big fat YET as I am just about to get one for my birthday in the middle of December ... when the big 50 comes a knocking - I know I only look about 3 days over 65!!!!

Would you believe one was £10 and the other £7, with the shipping the whole thing only came to just over £20. I'm but to the blush to only admit they are very basic dies, but useful nontheless .... A6 and A10 envie dies, which will be used over and over.

I am not completely certain where I will be putting Big Shot Pro when he arrives ..... he will be called Jonnie by the way (sad I know) it will mean a certain amount of reorganisation ... and probably more storage. I need to measure the space where my storage cart sits, but I feel certain that is no wider than a small expedite or such ... and he can sit on there. The wheelie cart thingymumjiggy can then perhaps fit down by the side of the computer desk (as it won't impede the running of things there, and should give me a bit of temp storage. The boxes etc that sit next to the cart now can be stacked under the computer desk ..... when will the kids leave home .... I need their rooms!!!!!

we've been working hard for the last day or so working out some technical issues to get to a position where we have a new design ready to release .... it's so close now I can taste it LOL!!!!

So here is a sneak peek of the design coming up, which is a new Back It Up Background stamp - and is just slightly smaller than A6.

it's called "Harvest Vine".

Keep a watch out for actual release in the next day or so hopefully.

WOYWW - looks like a whole lot of nothing going on ....

but actually there is plenty ... just nothing tangible!!! I'm just working on some cardstock trials to see which ones we will be bringing in stock.

The black rectangle is just there to cover over the names ..... I've done a terrific amount of research, and there are some unscrupulous people that would make use of that info. Just waiting for a few more samples to come in and then I should be able to make the selection. After that a couple of customers will be asked if they want to have a wee test to see if they like it.

We've also been working hard on getting to grips with the new equipment that arrived a month ago, and are very near to cracking that side of things ..... completely new to us, so it's taken a while.

Apart from that not much in the way of real crafting .... but I am getting jittery and feel the need to create .... so I will be breaking out the G45 Wizard of Oz for a play.

BTW, has anyone got a Black Cat Cougar cutter? I would love to know what people think of it as I am considering treating myself!!

Have a pop off to WOYWW to see what everyone else is up to .... it's bound to be more inspiring that my ol' desk.

WOYWW - nothing to see here

Apart from the skull, which I put atop the huge pile of mess that has taken over ..... the old mono laser was pressed back into service late last night to test some new artwork ... but as it happens we don't need it so it can go back into hiding today. No crafting here at all I am afraid to say - I am missing it, but needs must.

We've been really busy here lots of new artwork on the go, plus getting the Toodles and Bink Wholesale Site near to going live ... if you want a sneak peak CLICK HERE (although I have got a few items added so far).

I think we've now broken the back of the work around here, and should be all stations craft next week - I have a whole host of samples to get done.

Graphic 45 - Magic of Oz

Things have finally calmed down enough for me to get the Graphic 45 Magic of Oz 12x12 (£20.75 a pack) and 8x8 (£10.75 a pack) paper packs popped on line at the Galaxy check em out here. They are fabulous and the scrummy May Art trims will work so well with them.

WOYWW - not much is there this week

as you can see I've cleared the decks ... only just got the some of the G45 Magic of Oz Collection sitting on my desk to be put away ... it's not even made it on to the web site yet. It's going to go so nicely with all the lovely pleated trim ribbon (some of you spotted the red one on my desk last night) that's on the SG shop.

The only things that are really left out are my new Tim Holtz acrylic blocks .... I love them, so thin and easy to use.

Having been so busy recently it's time for paperwork and accounts, and then finish off my coffin pencil case and toilet roll holder mini before I touch anything else. I've got a large papier mache skull kicking around in here as well to be altered.

I wonder what all the other WOYWWers are up to ... I'm off to Fair Queen Julia's for a snoop.

WOYWW - card projects underway and other bits and bobs

including a million and one failed attempts at trying to tie a double bow with my box maker!!! ........... still, as you can see from the card on my desk I did eventually manage. I've not gone in any closer as this is a mag project and so I can't really show you ..... although it would be difficult to see what I'm up to from this far away anyway LOL!!

I will deliver them soon I promise ........... only problem is we had a large order come in with a very tight deadline .... so I'm working all hours at the moment - didn't finish until 11 last night - little bit pooped I have to confess, and with another long day ahead ... oh and the laser has run out of yellow so another problemo to be fixed pdq.

Mega busy this morning

packing up CLING TOO and lots of stamp orders. Have you seen Katy's fabulous configuration box using Very Vintage Set 2 (la couture) this month?

We've also got the Subscription Offer in Craft Stamper this month .... although happily the work for that was done last month PHEW WIPES BROW!!

Good news my missing order turned up yesterday, so that is something off my mind. Although, I won't lie to you today is a mega day here as we've got the platemaking equipment and new manufacturing benches etc being delivered. Why's that a big day ... well, up until now we've sub-contracted platemaking outside, so now we can control this in house. What's the benefit? I can hear you thinking ... well, it means that we can trial run designs first to check it all fits and we get the best use of our our plates, plus we will be able to do one-offs for people in either photopolyer or rubber, be most cost effecting offering manufacturing to others and also produce our existing range in polymer to widen the choice ... so it's all good.

We're also planning on some limited edition and registered customer stamps to say thank you.

It's all good, and all exciting.

WOYWW - Don't be deceived there is quite a lot going on

really there is, but you just can't see much of it.

my desk is sailing along like a swan, all calm on the surface, but paddling for billy'o underneath. We've been really busy at the Galaxy this month, plus there is new equipment arriving this week, stuff that has gone missing en route, deliveries this morning, stuff to still order that is urgent, and school back to the grind stone stuff do complete (I forgot the bus pass!!).

I've been filming a video, and the fruits of my labour is on the desk ... yes, it does look a bit like a coffin and that is what it's going to be .... actually a pencil case coffin for Toodles. I'm waiting for some moulds to turn up to be able to complete it.

WOYWW - Somewhere to hang my keys ...

but first a look at my desk this week:

In case you are wondering what that is on top of my Cinch:

it's my web cam ... turns out that it is the perfect height and angle of dangle for streaming my desk.

I think I showed the key cabinet half done last week, and actually here it is finished:

I love the Nellie Snellen border die so much, and have had a ton of fun with the cored'inations cardstock ... don't much like the black it leaves all over the shop though!

The rest of it was created using Lumiere paint in purple and silver and Witches Wine Gums Zoozm which are not in the Galaxy yet, but will be a bit later (they are a mix of the red and black, obviously I just used the black). The keys are made from Fimo and painted with Lumiere Silver. Plus I used grunge paper and a cuttlebug embossing folderand one of the Nestie Labels 4 dies.

WOYWW - Extra from Planet of the Apes Today

Morning WOYWWers,

Here's my desk - not too bad ... not too good, but I've been incredibly busy, so that's my excuse!!

There are some stamps to be packed ready for orders, 3 unfinished projects and my Craft Stamper Projects to be put in the samples box.

Here's a close up of the two things in my work space:

Friendly plastic tiles to go inside one of the unfinished projects - you saw it last week the shoe suitcase. Difficult stuff to die cut is friendly plastic, and thus why my "t" is not the best in the world .... but hey it works.

My key cabinet which needs to be finished off - probably going to do some Fimo decoration in black on it using Park Life stamps - it's not a sample, but actually to store a certain set of keys in that I am always mislaying.

When I went up to Craft Stamper last week I brought back my projects that were in this month's issue, but actually I forgot to get my canvas back from the previous month. These now need to be put in bubble wrap and put in the sample box for safe keeping.

Today I am doing an impression of an extra from Planet of the Apes as I've hurt my back and can hardly walk .... having said that there is still Rubbah to press and orders to get out of the door so no slacking for me.

The camera is set up over my desk as I've been doing some videos, just need to finish them off. Also finished off my beginning bit of the videos:
